Speech Therapy
Pahchaan Special School is dedicated to providing comprehensive support for children with diverse needs, with a strong emphasis on speech therapy. Speech therapy at Pahchaan is tailored to address the individual communication challenges faced by each student, fostering their ability to express themselves and engage with the world around them.
At Pahchaan, speech therapy begins with a thorough assessment conducted by experienced speech-language pathologists. These evaluations help identify specific speech and language issues, such as articulation problems, language delays, stuttering, or social communication disorders. Based on the assessment results, individualized therapy plans are developed to target each child’s unique needs.
The speech therapy program at Pahchaan incorporates a variety of techniques and tools to enhance communication skills. These may include exercises to improve articulation, activities to expand vocabulary and sentence structure, and strategies to develop social communication abilities. For children with severe speech and language impairments, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) methods, such as sign language or communication devices, are also employed.
Pahchaan’s approach is holistic, recognizing the importance of collaboration between therapists, educators, and families. Regular progress reviews and family involvement ensure that therapy goals are aligned with the child’s overall development and educational objectives. This collaborative effort helps reinforce communication skills both in and out of the classroom, providing a consistent and supportive learning environment.
Pahchaan Special School offers a range of other services, including occupational therapy, physical therapy, and specialized academic instruction, to support the comprehensive development of each child. By addressing the unique needs of every student, Pahchaan strives to empower children with disabilities to reach their full potential and lead fulfilling lives.
